My Journey to Freedom: An Evening with Holocaust Survivor, Endre Sarkany

For the past 15 years, Endre Sarkany has presented his life story of growing up during the Holocaust, living under the brutality of the Soviet regime in Hungary, and finding a home in the United States. Born in Budapest, Hungary on October 31, 1936, Endre lived inside the Budapest Ghetto during the Holocaust.

Following the October 1956 uprising, Endre escaped Hungary and immigrated to the United States. After receiving his Bachelor’s degree from Tusculum University in Tennessee and his Master of Science degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, Endre worked for the McDonnell Douglas Corporation and IBM. Registration required.
